After downloading, please run the file dbcomp12.exe to install the software on your system. You can run it by locating it on your hard drive, and double-clicking the name (dbcomp12.exe).

If you're not sure where the file is located on your hard drive, it's easy to find it. Go to the Windows Start Menu (by pressing the key on the lower left of your keyboard with the Windows logo on it - it's usually located between the Ctrl and the Alt key), then press "f" for "file" and "f" for "find". In the box, type dbcomp12.exe. Then, hit "enter" (or click the Find Now button). When the computer displays a line beginning with dbcomp12.exe, simply double click the word dbcomp12.exe, and the installation will begin.

In order to connect to server, MDAC (Microsoft Data Access Components) 2.5 or higher need to be installed on target computer. Usually, these components are present on most computers; if they are missing, Database Comparison Tool will display instructions for downloading and installing them (you can download MDAC from http://www.microsoft.com/data/download.htm; please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions).
